Sign the Petition to help the Uyghur Muslims of China

Today I come to you with a sobering request.

I ask that you please sign the petition below to help the Uyghur (also spelled Uighur) Muslims in China. They are being put in concentration camps disguised by phrases like “reeducation” camps. You know who used very similar rhetoric? Hitler.

And as I’ve been told, those who don’t know history are doomed to repeated it. I’ll be damned if I let something like this go by and I do nothing to support it. My forefathers didn’t speak up when the Jews first called for help, I will help initiate the call. Below is the petition from change.com and the description of whats going on in China.

“Right now, more than 3 MILLION Uyghur Muslims are put in concentration camps in Xinjiang, China. The government has been targeting Muslims through a campaign of torture, surveillance, no rights to practice their religion and brainwashing these Muslims to disown their religion to become “normal citizens”. A genocide happening right now!

Men are taken to concentration camps, children are send to orphanages and women are forcefully being married with other Chinese men. In the concentration camps they are forced to eat pork, drink alcohol, and denounce themselves as Muslims. Leaked documents show that detainees are forced to take pills and get injections, they are the human subject of medical experiments, organ harvesting and sterilization procedures. They must memorize propoganda songs and confess invented sins. 10-30% of the Uyghur Muslims are put in concentration camps.

However those who are living outside the concentration camps are also in extremely bad conditions. Outside the camps a spyware app must be installed on their phone, so the government can monitor their activity, Muslim women cannot wear the hijab (scarf) unless she is over the age of 45, they are not allowed to speak any foreign language, there is no halal food, pork and alcohol MUST be in every household. and facial recognition can capture who is passing by a mosque and punish them for doing so.

This has been going on since the spring of 2017, with a U.S. commission calling it “the largest mass incarceration of a minority population in the world today.” NO ONE deserves to be persecuted due to their religious beliefs. Raise awareness by sharing this petition to stand up for the Uyghur Muslims in China of this immoral and inhumane persecution!

I am Nawid, a muslim and student from The Netherlands. The stories I came across on social media about the Uyghur crisis moved me. As a human being with basic human rights I felt it was my duty to do something, so I used my meme page as a platform to raise awareness about this issue and created this petition. The petition, that was signed 150.000 times in 4 days by people all around the globe, proves that the power is still with the people and we can change the situation. Reparations were given after slavery was abolished….. to Slave Masters!

This is NOT common knowledge, but it should be!🤦🏾‍♂️

I’d say this is hard to believe, but nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to our abuse 🤷🏾‍♂️. After slavery was abolished with the Emancipation Proclamation, Lincoln also approved a measure to pay the slave owners 300$ per slave due to “loss of property”.

I should also mention this was 300 PER enslaved person. If you have 10, you got 3,000, if you had 100, you got 30,000! In 2020 that would be 7,657$ PER PERSON.

I used to wonder how reparations can be paid on a meaningful scale to the descendants of those enslaved. I couldn’t really come to a consensus on one method, I resented cash payments a little under the premise of many of my people wouldn’t be sure on how to use or leverage it.

Honestly though, after reading this I think cash or land may just have to be the way to go 🤷🏾‍♂️

“Good Cop” fired in 2016 FOR NOT SHOOTING a black man, wins 175,000 settlement!

They keep saying there are good cops, but this is how they treat those cops🤦🏾‍♂️

Stephen Mader (left) was a rookie cop, but even more important just like R.J. Williams (right), he is a recent father. Both the men’s fate would intersect on May 6th 2016 when Mader responded to a domestic disturbance call.

Once on scene Mader met Williams who was hiding something behind his back, he asked him to reveal his hands, to which Williams complied. Sure enough as you’d expect, Williams reveals a gun, and get killed by a police man’s bullet, however in the moments leading up to the murder is where the story differs from many.

See Mader noticed something was up, Williams repeatedly said “just shoot me”, “just shoot me”. Mader found this to be obviously a discomforting situation, HOWEVER he replies back “I’m not going to shoot you, brother. I’m not going to shoot you”.

Mader had the sense of mind to reflect back on his MILITARY training, NOT his police training, to deescalate the situation. He noticed there was something wrong with Williams, and that WIlliams wasn’t in a good mental state. As Mader calls it, Williams desired suicide “suicide by cop”.

Minutes later 2 other cops arrived at the scene and SECONDS after their arrival, Williams ended up on the floor as bullets flew. Mader checked the gun Williams had, and just as he suspected, the gun was empty. About a few weeks later after the incident was reviewed, Mader was fired FOR NOT SHOOTING THE BLACK MAN. LET ME REPEAT, NOT SHOOTING.

Mader sued along with the ACLU over wrongful firing and won a settlement of 175,000$. Honestly though, Mader (and I) don’t think this is enough as no justice went toward the family of Williams, and now a child will have to grow up without a father.

Melvin Kelly. Lets just begin with a round of applause for this man. A true example of overcoming the past. This man, Melvin Kelly, is opening a community center and started Brothers 2 Brothers. Brothers 2 Brothers is an organization that is trying to help troubled youth. But because of what he knows and has experienced, he’s looking for kids that need help on the street. Engaging with kids and talking to parents. Getting them food, before coronavirus, to bridge the age gap. Brothers 2 Brothers is based around trying to bridge the age gap between younger and and older Black males.

Brothers 2 Brothers has sponsored events already. One being an “expungement session,” which is where an attorney sits with youth and talks to them about how to seal records of convictions and arrests. That’s amazing and genius. Slow clap, lets go. When done building, they will offer a series of programs, so kids can find their path which will include job training, gardening, cooking, and music will be just some of the programs they’ll offer. “Everything will be centered around education; it will just not be formal education,” Kelly said.

Brothers 2 Brothers will be located in Muncie, Indiana. 306 E. Fifth St. to be exact. It’ll be a brick one story building and it’s two blocks away from Madison street. This former biker’s club will now be new place for kids to come and feel safe.

Melvin Kelly is an underdog. “I messed up in the past: jail, prison, boys school, children’s home, you name it.” But now, he has raised four sons, owns his own business, works for the Parks Department for Muncie, works at Yorktown High as an in-school suspension supervisor, and managed at the Youth Opportunity Center. This man is made to help others. To give a little insight on what he’s overcome. He started drinking at 6. AT 6. Alcohol at 6 and raised by a single parent, been to jail, prison, children’s homes, and boys school. He quit drinking at 27 and now at 57 he’s 30 years clean. Brothers 2 Brothers is an example of the Black Businesses to look for. “No matter what happens, push towards a better future. Kelly said, “My life is a reflection that you can come from bad circumstances and still live a positive life.”

“In This Together” Campaign Going for $1 Billion for Minority Businesses

30 Blue-chip Companies Pledged to Support Black Businesses and BLM

National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) is the one to start the “In This Together” campaign. This campaign has 30 blue-chip companies, including ExxonMobile, Capital One and Nissan North America Inc, pledging to support Black businesses and the Black Lives Matter movement. “In This Together” aims to raise $1 billion dollars for certified minority businesses to overcome the hits from Covid-19.

Adrienne Trimble, CEO and President of NMSDC, told Black Enterprise he hoped to raise the billion in a year. Saying he made $600,000 in the opening week! That’s an insane number for the first week! Trimble called for action in a powerful statement.

““Prior to the pandemic and social injustice events, NMSDC was working strategically to close the economic gap between Black and minority businesses; now, the gap has widened due to the unprecedented activities that changed the trajectory globally. This is not a social call to action but one that will position Black and minority businesses to sustain throughout and propel beyond this pandemic as well as continue to recreate job opportunities for the communities they serve.”

As of May of this year, 41% of Black businesses have closed due to COVID. That’s a sad statistic and just means that we need to keep looking for those few left and support them. The NMSDC is giving 4 initiative options for companies to invest in.

The REBUILDING Fund is to help businesses recover from loss they have suffered from COVID and protest damage they received. The Minority Business Advocacy Initiative is focused on killing the racial wealth gap. This initiative is also trying to close the startup cost gap for minority businesses. The Business Consortium Fund is the next initiative and it’s focusing on financing growth and development of NMSDC certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) in corporate and government chains. Lastly, The NMSDC Academy which provides learning opportunities for MBEs. This initiative includes some amazing partners.

What an amazing thing NMSDC is doing for Black businesses. We NEED to look for these businesses or that 41% will grow and that would be a tragedy. 10 Year Old, Molu Zarpeleh, Drowned and Dismissed?

The Parents of the Kids Who Drowned Him Said Nothing (Sign his Petition here!)

Death and violence is never fun to read or hear about. Especially if the victim is a child. What’s worse is that death is not being honored or wasn’t even acknowledged when it happened. 10 year old, Molu Zarpeleh, was drowned by older kids. When those kids told their parents what happened, the parents dismissed them.

Now there is a lot going on with this story. Molu’s bike and sandals were found by the pond where he died at 10pm. 90 minutes after he died these were found. His body wasn’t “found” until 8:40 am the next morning. Found in quotation marks because it’s rumored that the police are trying to cover up the murder as an accident.

Brookings P.D. claims they “received tips related to circumstances surrounding the incident which resulted in an investigation of individuals identified through information sharing”. They also said that through investigation and interviews these claims were not factual. This cover up rumor seems more than likely, especially when looking at the facts.

The older kids called him over, drowned him, told their parents. Their parents declined to say anything until after the body was found. The parents told the police, thereby ADMITTING to what had taken place. And as if there was not anything else proving the situation, apparently there is also surveillance footage being suppressed by police in their efforts to cover this up (we couldn’t independently verify this claim).

The older kids admitted luring him over, lying to him and pushing him in the pond. They told their parents and the parents dismissed them. And so they AREN’T being charged! These parents didn’t tell anyone and now a mom is suffering.

Molu’s mom said, “I don’t even know what to do right now. I can’t live without my son. I can’t do it without my son. He was my everything. I can’t live without my son. My heart is hurting.” Molu is said to be the one to run to peoples aid when needed or wanted. Yet when he needs justice, it gets silenced. An angering repeat of no justice being found for the black community. Molu now joins a horrifically long list with Breonna Taylor of black peoples who need justice. Say their names! Sign their Petitions!

Portland Mayor Tear Gassed by Federal Officers While Speaking with Protesters

Portland, Oregon is covering headlines. From kidnappings to a wall of moms. Now the federal officers have tear gassed Portland’s Mayor, Ted Wheeler. Mayor Wheeler was speaking to the protestors in front of a federal courthouse saying he wanted the Federal Officers gone too. He was trying to answer questions to help calm down the BLM movement to little avail. When someone threw flaming garbage over a wall, the officers fired back with tear gas. In the video you can see him speak against the officers, being tear gassed and being criticized.

Wheeler was jeered and booed at the fact he was saying reform takes time. That’s funny because California and Florida have cities making some amazing reforms. So what’s the hold up? Wheeler did acknowledge the fact he was a “white, privileged male.” Got that right. He did meet with local leaders of the BLM social justice movement and they demanded quicker reforms. His answer was generic, “Obviously we have a long way to go. Everyone here has a job to do, all of us.” Duh.

Mayor Wheeler was also criticized for only coming out only after a group of white mothers who participated in the wall of moms got gassed. Which I agree with. Tensions have been high and things have gotten out of hands a long time ago. So where was he then?

Mayor Wheeler has been criticized but he did say something important. “It’s hard to breathe, it’s a lot harder to breathe than I thought. This is abhorrent. This is beneath us.” Hell yeah it is. We’ve been saying that since the beginning. These officers are attacking innocent, peaceful protestors with this stuff and it could kill someone. I’m glad a higher up finally sees this. These officers may have a lot of the headlines but we need to keep doing our part to be heard. Don’t give up because we’ve been muffled a bit. Speak louder!

Essential Workers Aiding BLM Movement By Forming a Strike

100 Cities and 1000+ Workers Walk Out For BLM

History is being made each and every day but this is something amazing. 100 cities had essential workers walk out and go on strike. Thousands more people walked away from their jobs for 8 minutes and 48 seconds. That time seems familiar because that was the same amount of time an officer had their knee on George Floyd. This walkout/strike is called Strike for Black Lives. This Strike included Black and Latino fast food employees, janitors, home health aids, and other industries Black workers are unfairly represented.

The Strike for Black Lives was organized by a number of movements. Movement for Black Lives lead the charge with the help of Service Employees International Union(SEIU), The Fight for $15, and the Poor People’s Campaign.

This strike was aimed at corporations like Amazon, McDonalds, and Uber. Rev. Dr. William Barber II, leader of Poor People’s Campaign met with CNN and had strong feelings. He told CNN, ” If you’re concerned about life, you have to challenge corporations that will put up a hashtag or slogan but do nothing about workers having healthcare or a living wage or decent employment”!

Many of these companies stopped giving pay raises and sick leave the minute coronavirus started. Why would they need raises and sick leave now? It’s not like Black Americans, who make up a large part of the employees at these companies, make up 60% percent of Rona deaths despite only making up 13.4% of the population. Nope sick leave and raises aren’t important at all. It’d only help stop the spread to other employees and customers. Maybe help them pay for medical attention.

These companies are trying to just save a dollar instead of a life, unlike their meaningless posts suggest. “The danger facing essential workers hasn’t diminished. “Any job where a worker is interacting closely with the public or coworkers for an extended period of time elevates the possibility of contracting coronavirus” economist AnnElizabeth Konkel said.

Couple who Had Guns Taken are Now Being Charged!🤣

They are back in the headlines guys! The ever so lovely and welcoming lawyer couple from St. Louis who aimed guns at protesters are now being charged. 😂 Charged with what you may ask? Mark and Patricia McCloskey are being charged with “unlawful use of a weapon-Flourishing”. Man, justice even in the smallest form is amazing.

This couple of losers got their start in the media when they held guns and yelled at protesters walking down their street. Mark with his rifle and Patricia waving and pointing the pistol at the protesters. They felt “threatened” by the slow walking people who were consistently saying “just keep walking,” because they knew that this couple was crazy.

After being sung as heros on some big news channels and Trumps loving eye, this couple had their rifle taken. Making them a martyr, but now justice is prevailing and they are being charged. This won’t lead to jail time, but it will most likely need to do community service. You know the community they pointed their guns at because they were better than them.

This man had the gall to say, “It was like the storming of the Bastille, the gate came down and a large crowd of angry, aggressive people poured through. I was terrified that we’d be murdered within seconds. Our house would be burned down, our pets would be killed.” That was his reasoning. There is video evidence that shows the crowd being PEACEFUL. The worst part is people BELIEVE him.

This charge is of course being fought since they are egotistical, selfish, rich, and privileged. It’s fine, because we have people on our side. St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardener is fighting for justice. Saying, “While we are fortunate this situation did not escalate into deadly force, this type of conduct is unacceptable in St. Louis. We must protect the right to peacefully protest, and any attempt to chill it through intimidation will not be tolerated”.

PREACH. Fools are all around. Don’t let them quiet your voice. In the video, it shows Trump’s “understanding” the situation, the reason they are getting charged, and Mark’s defense on the news.

Trump Plans to Send Federal FORCE to Chicago?!

U.S, Dept of Homeland Security Plans to Send 150 Agents

President Orange has been making a whole bunch of statements saying he’d crunch down on violence in Chicago. Anyone wanna guess how? By sending more forces to Chicago and i’m sure it’ll be fine. I mean Portland is having SUCH great success with the agents KIDNAPPING people. U.S. Department of Homeland Security is making plans to send 150 federal agents to Chicago this week.

Agents will be there to assist federal agents and Chicago police to “fight crime”. HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) hasn’t given information on limits these agents will have, which I think is scariest. Portland’s “help” from agencies has been less than comforting. Violence and unmarked agents detaining people with no reasons has been the headlines since they arrived in Portland.

So yeah, I think sending agents to do that in Chicago, a city rocked with violence, is going to be a declaration of war in that city! Trump, i’m sure is fully aware of this, is surely not losing sleep.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot isn’t too pleased and also believes this is going to be a terrible action. Lightfoot showed concern for the possibility of this becoming reality. “If Trump wants to help, he could boost federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives resources and fully fund prosecutors. We don’t need federal agents without any insignia taking people off the streets and holding them, I think, unlawfully.”

She’s trying to either stop this action or contain it by sending Trump a four page letter and actively speaking her thoughts on what could actually help Chicago. Something tells me by his knowledge of well anything, he’s not an avid reader. Even if he did read it, I think he’d prefer unmarked federal agents in unmarked vans, kidnapping people.

There’s so much to say on this topic but honestly the scariest part is how Trump perceives this act. “I’m going to do something that I can tell you, because we’re not going to leave New York and Chicago and Philadelphia, Detroit and Baltimore, and all of these — Oakland is a mess. We’re not going to let this happen in our country, all run by liberal Democrats. We’re going to have more federal law enforcement, that I can tell you. In Portland, they’ve done a fantastic job. They’ve been there three days and they really have done a fantastic job in a very short period of time, no problem”.

He really thinks this will be a great thing. He thinks people being KIDNAPPED is good for America. I really can’t get over the kidnappings. All and all this will be a new chapter to the horror movie, 2020.
