Not only that but did you know that Black Folks made the first organized hockey league ever! This happened due to descendants of escaped enslaved peoples in Nova Scotia, this article in fact even timelines its creation! And this article gives reasons behind the league as well.
Lastly odds are (though I couldn’t definitively prove it), but those same Nova Scotians may have been the inventors of hockey! It should be noted that hockey, according to this likely theory, that a European Prince while visiting Nova Scotia Saw the famed hockey league, and that’s how it was brought to the Western World.
